Nossa chefe Urideia andrade viu de perto como é difícil querer comer um alimento e muitas vezes não ter a oportunidade de comprar, pois nem sempre existia dinheiro. Cresceu vendo sua vó valorizando a comida e respeitando seu tempo de produção e colheta.

Geralmente aproveitava tudo, e o que não era possível ser consumido por sua família, os restos ajudavam alimentar as galinhas e porcos que tinham no quintal. Então não havia desperdício! Até porque o pouco que tínhamos se tornava muito na hora de matar a fome,* Deia*.

Tendo como exemplo sua própria historia, ela dá uma verdadeira lição de autoestima, valorização pessoal e força de vontade. Seu desafio é desperta em cada pessoa a responsabilidade pela construção de um mundo melhor, mais justo e saudável. Gera mais comida, acaba com o desperdício, cuida da natureza e valoriza o poder de cada um de nós para fazer a mudança.

A Deia leva em suas palestras nas escolas, empresas e eventos sociais a responsabilidade que devemos ter quando pensamos em joga no lixo o que mataria a fome de 1/3 da população.

Com receitas praticas, rápidas e ainda nutritivas ela mostra o quanto é fácil aproveitar de uma forma integral os alimentos, usando desde a raiz ao talo. Quebrando o preconceito e promovendo o respeito que devemos ter ao alimento como fonte de vida.
